You scroll Amazon for hours, hoping the algorithm finally gets you. You buy books that looked good but now sit unread. You’re building a collection that feels more like clutter than curation.
The good stuff, the vintage editions with actual weight and character, are buried in estate sales you’ll never hear about. Hidden in thrift stores you don’t have time to visit. And even when you find something special, you’re not sure whether it’s worth the price or even authentic.
You want a library with soul. You just need someone who knows where to look.
I’m Rob. Since my first day working in the Gothic graduate reading room at the University of Washington’s Suzzalo Library, wandering the underground archive stacks, pulling forgotten books nobody had touched in decades, I knew I’d eventually find myself here. Curating the books that matter.
Now I spend weekends at estate sales and private collections hunting for the vintage editions that inspired the Dark Academia aesthetic: literary horror, Gothic classics, and sci-fi from the 1960s-1980s. First editions. Dust jackets intact. Books with stories to tell beyond what’s printed on their pages.
Every book I offer has been authenticated and hand-selected. If it doesn’t spark something, it doesn’t make the cut.
No algorithms. No bestseller lists. Just books worth keeping.

Every book is verified—first edition markers, condition assessment, fair pricing. No guesswork, no fakes.
Browse my finds and choose books that speak to you. Build a library that actually reflects who you are.
